Reminds me of the time back in '87 when UNLV signed the number 1 recruit in the nation, Lloyd Daniels, and literally within days he was arrested in a Vegas crack house raid. The arrest made the front page of the local newpaper. He was released from his scholarship before he ever played a minute for the Rebels. No one died though. Daniels got thru that trouble without any jail time but never played college hoops. He played some CBA ball, had a cup of coffee in the NBA and was done. I'll be pretty surprised if Zaon Collins ever plays any basketball for a big-time college program. Maybe some lower lever pro ball or possibly a long shot at some Euro Ball, or some possible tryouts for an NBA team. Odds are slim at this point. A person died by his actions so the kid will have to answer for it. Unless he's jaw-dropping great, who will bother with him? There are a thousand guys out there just as good as him who won't have a felony DUI death on their record. Most teams won't take the chance. It sucks but that's the reality of it. It's not about basketball at this point, it's about the rest of his life. One day at a time Zaon.
